After about a 20 minute drive from our Hillcrest carpool area, hikers should arrive at the first-class Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor's Center by 9:35 am. After a stop at the visitors center, we'll drive up the Father Junipero Serra Trail Road to the parking area near the Old Mission Dam. From there, we'll start our hike at 10:30 am, north thru Oak Canyon. Dogs on leash are allowed. If time allows, we'll also visit nearby Kumeyaay Lake. Weather is unpredictable this time of year and there may be light showers. Prepare to dress accordingly.
